1 Why is my oculus not charging?
I’ve tried different Chargers and it won’t charge. No light comes on either.

When your headset isn't charging and isn't in use, make sure that it is turned off or in sleep mode. Your headset battery may be too hot and may need to cool down before charging. If your headset isn't charging, make sure that you have an adapter, or charging brick, that is powerful enough for the device its charging.

When I try charging it with multiple cables it won’t work like when I connect it it doesn’t wanna charge I had it charge for a whole day and it charged to 6% I don’t get it I tried resetting it everything it doesn’t work when I connect it and try turning it on it would say it’s dead and then the light turns on for a bit then the quest logo pops up and the light is white then it turns off and the light is off idk why this happens please help

You might have overcharged the battery. Wait 24-30 hours to cool down the charger in the headset

My Oculus has the same issue. After researching and talking with Meta its a common known issue. There is an auto-on feature on the headset the turns on the headset and activities it once it's is picked up or moved. Once the battery depletes below a certain point it won't allow a charge because it keeps trying to turn on and depleting the charge. Meta's response was to exchange it if you have a warnty. If your warranty is out then purchase a new one lol.... There are companies out there that will repair this for you.

I stumbel on a solution, when y quest 2 didnot work and would not charge, but was totally dead.
If you press and hold the power switch on oculus for a longer time it will reset.
Connect the charger to oculus quest even if there no light in the charger led on oculus. Then press and hold the power button for a long time, then the headset will show meta logo and do some test on the objectives and the charging lamp will go on red.
all mine does is show the meta logo and the charging logo with a slashed out lighting bolt.
I had the same problem and holding down the power button for a long time worked. I had to do it twice because it didn’t work the first time the light came on and went out. The second time it stayed on and started charging.
You need to use a small charger it just worked for me and I am so happy try it

Define long time? I held the power button for a minute or more and nothing, zip, nada. Spoke with tech support and they offered to let me buy a refurb since I am out of warranty by a few months. I'm sorry but why would I want to buy another unit from you that has this known problem where it won't let you charge your unit anymore? Absolute garbage customer service and company.
What do you mean by small charger?
I have the same problem. Played it one day, and the next one, stopped working.
- I've tried using 10 different USB cables. Yes, 10! Still no luck.
- Tested the headset with 5 different chargers, just to be sure.
- Switched between various power outlets around my house.
- Left the headset charging for an entire day. Nothing.
- Gave it a few days' break from charging, to see if that was the problem. No luck.
- Usually, it sits on an Anker charging base, but now it's just not responding.
- Hooked it up with a cable to measure the wattage. It shows it's getting power for a second (red light blinks), but then NADA. This repeats a few times before the red light gives up entirely.
- Tried all the reboot tricks - holding the power button for 30 seconds, the power + volume -, power + volume +, even power + both volume buttons. Still, nothing.
- No signs of life on the screen, no sounds, nothing.
Contacted Meta Support, and they told me that since my headset is out of warranty, their only offer is for me to purchase a refurbished replacement through their Out of Warranty (OOW) program. Not repair, BUT INSTEAD: "Buy a Used one".
This is a joke.

I have had the same experience as many of you. Customer service said the only option I have is to buy from their out of warranty refurbished stock.
My headset was working fine, then I did an update and left it on the charger (as directed by the onscreen prompt). I went to check to see if it was complete, and thats when I noticed it was no longer functioning at all. At this point I am convinced their support team pushed a faulty update to "brick" a substantial portion of their products to try and sell off their refurbished products.
I just got off with met quest and I got an email with shipping label and I have to return headset and then they will ship me a replacement metaquest 3. It is going to take 8 to 12 business days. Which to me seems to be a very long time.
I also had the same problem, literally just got it as well, but I flipped the charger around, I unplugged the part of the cable I put into the block and plugged it into the quest 2, then it started charging, hope that helps.

My son's is also doing this. What could be wrong with it. He was playing it went to charge it and nothing says 6% for a day and half now???

My oculus was in a closet in months I finally got it back so it as a red light and I tried many chargers but no sign of turning on?!?!
