You could try a metal to plastic epoxy resin and see if that holds any better although there are pitfalls when using this according to this adhesives manufacturer who claims to have a better product (idk if it is better or not, never tried it ;-)

Alternative is to replace the LCD cover.

Here's the hardware maintenance manual for the laptop.

Go to p.51 to view the procedure to remove the LCD module. If you follow on from here you'll get to the lcd cover after having removed everything in the lid.

The following are the part numbers for the various covers available for the laptop model series, depending on the Type # of the laptop. The type number can be found on the product info label on the bottom of the laptop.

The part number should also be somewhere on the inside of the cover itself if you wish to verify that you're ordering the correct one.

Search online using the applicable part number only, to find suppliers that suit you best.
