Can someone help please. We got this tv maybe 2 years ago and it is making sound but no picture. We have tried all the unplugging tricks but nothing seems to get the picture to work

I think @oldturkey03 is on the right track here. Just want to add in that there’s a whole page here at iFixit for troubleshooting a TV with sound, but no picture that walks through a bunch of possible causes of this issue and how to address them. It might help get you into the right neighborhood.
