Rather than relying on indirect radiation, convection, or thermal conduction, induction uses the magnetic aspects of the metal pot to oscillate the magnet field so results in resistive heating to cook your food.

Electrolux Induction Cooktop Kite C-561 3611 00 Rev B- All the lights

Hello,

Please note that I have an Electrolux Induction Cooktop and the motherboard panel present with all the lights turned on.

I have replaced a used Board User Interface Assembly with the one that is constantly turned on, and it works!

My question is if I can reset the Board User Interface Assembly as it seems that the board is still functional and I would like to make this board operational.

Here are a few steps you can try to reset the cooktop's user interface board:

  • First, unplug the cooktop from power for at least 60 seconds. This may reset the board if it's having a software glitch.
  • Locate the small reset/recall button on the user interface board. It's usually a tiny push button. Press and hold it for 5-10 seconds with the cooktop unplugged.
  • Check for a removable fuse or circuit breaker on the user interface board, and replace or reset it if you find one.
  • Disconnect and reconnect all connectors to the board, making sure they are fully seated. A loose ribbon cable can cause issues.
  • If there is a small internal battery on the board, try removing it for 30 minutes before reinstalling. This may reset settings.
  • Update the firmware on the board if the cooktop has firmware update capabilities. Newer firmware may fix glitches.
  • As a last resort, open up the board and look for any damaged capacitors or components. Replacing any blown ones can get it working again.

If even after all this the board is still constantly lit up, it likely has developed a non-resettable fault and will need complete replacement. But trying a reset can potentially get it operational again without a costly board swap.
