Samsung Watch 5 pro Stuck in retail mode

Purchased watch but turned out to be a demo watch.

The retail mode app is there. 5444 gets you in but when you select off for the retail mode it goes to the Home Screen and does not turn off.

There is another factory reset screen in the Retail mode app but it prompts for a password when you try and reset.

Please help….

After you get into the Retail Mode App, you must use a password to successfully disable the retail mode app. Obstensibly, these passwords are private and not meant to be shared to the public. As a result, I cannot say for sure what (if any) publicly available password will work on your specific device.

However, a good number have been leaked and are available. I am copying a reply from @jason79421, who does not seem to be active on these forums any longer, but whose list includes every password I have found and some that I have not found elsewhere:

Thank you. Unfortunately none of those codes work.

5444 is the passcode to access the retail mode on the app.

There isn’t and option to remove the app but you can reset and it requires another password. I’ve tried M729Q16K8546 and it accepts it but returns to the retail mode loop once the watch reboots.

@boomersaurus Yes, the "reset with a password" is the same thing as "reset and remove the retail mode app so it can function as a standard device" option, just less wordy.

If you do not have the correct password, it will just reset without removing the app, and you're back to square one.

@boomersaurus have you tried 0000 for the pin? Looks like that's the default pin for the TVs to exit retail mode, it may just be the same.

The passcode to get into the retail mode app on the watch is 5444.

Once you are in there you can reset but the codes I’ve found don’t seem to work.

Any luck in removing it ?

so with the retail mode watches i've had to just flash watch firmware onto them using net odin (similar to normal odin, just over wifi). i havent done this on the newest watches but was able to on older watches. there are guides on how to flash watches using net odin online. probably differ by model so im gonna let you google exactly what you need.

I dont think those passwords will work on watches. and honestly, in prob 10 years of removing FRPs and retail modes that 5444, M729Q16K8546 combo has never actually worked for me, even though it's always the first answer I see.

Service-Disable and enter Password: M729Q16K8546
