The screen of my laptop have this glitch effect?

The screen of my laptop is having a sort of glitch effect, i’ve tried clearing my SMC, udpated my software etc. But nothing helps. I saw somewhere that it could be the problem of the T-CON and needs to be replaced.

Could be the TCON, or could be the flex cables. This sort of thing is very common with "Dustgate." Does the behavior change at all depending on the angle of your screen?

@indymeermans Ultimately, you're likely going to have to replace the display for either of those issues, unless you have microsoldering know-how, or can find a shop that will take a look.

"Dustgate" is an issue where small bits of debris get into the flex cables for the display. They burrow their way into the cable with repeat opening and closing. It's repairable, but tedious and delicate. Because these cables are not designed to be replaced, you need to repair the existing cable somehow.,

@flannelist Ohh okay! I will look for a display replacement, not by a shop but I want to learn it myself. The facts that the cables are so fragile, they are gonna break anyway soon if I would solder it. :/

I've first checked with a repair shop what the problem was but they told me they had to replace the logic board... :p

Is there anyway to prevent this in the future or is this just a flawless mistake from apple that you can't prevent it.

@indymeermans It could be the board, but I would try to connect it to an external monitor. If the video there looks normal, the board is unlikely to be the cause. I am much more likely to think the display.

Prevention is mostly just keeping your device internals clean, especially the hinge area. Dust gets caught in that area because it's where it gets exhausted from the computer, so if there's no dust to blow around, dust can't get caught.
