Hello - only half of the touch screen on my phone is working now, the lower half is almost completely unresponsive. Plus there are a bunch of dead pixels on the left side.
Do you think this kit will fix this problem?

Sounds like it's a good bet to me. Usually non-responsive parts of the touch screen would be resolved with a new display. And dead pixels, same idea. It's not a guarantee, but it would have been my first recommendation aside from the usual restart your phone and be sure it's updated.
