MacBook A1398 2015 Loud Fan

Hello

I have an A1398 2015 MacBook Pro 15" that has the right fan turning at high speed and making a lot of noise. I have cleaned it, removed the heat sink and replaced the thermal grease, replaced both fans but the noise is still present. Does anybody have any advice? The problem is not related to the hard drive as I have swapped it out but still have the same problem. Apple Diagnostics reference code PPF004 and PPF003. Thanks for your help.

@tonjahalle37695 Have you made any progress with this?

I noticed my macbookpro11,5 (A1398) was creating similar fan noise when attached to an Apple Thunderbolt Display, whereas a much older macbookpro10,1 connects to the same Apple Thunderbolt Display without additional noise. The fans on the macbookpro11,5 seem to get spin loudly with the slightest bit of CPU strain. I think this may have to do with the FDMF/mosfet chips needing to be replaced.

Anyway, I'm curious what your experience was. I should also note that I tried swapping the fans out and reapplied thermal paste to the macbookpro11,5's CPU and GPU; however, the fans spin up loud with the slightest bit of CPU strain.

check the fan itself, if you can try and replace it to see if it resolves the issue

The fans have already been cleaned with no success and then replaced with new fans. The problem remains the same.
