The micro SD card has been firmly lodged deep within my Lenovo P11 tablet. It did not want to go in and unfortunately I pressed too hard and it is now firmly inside the machine and I cant even see it! The tablet still works fine. Any ideas how to retrieve this?

You most probably will have to open the tablet and try to push the card back out from the slot, hopefully without damaging the SD card reader in the process.
