M1 MBP went from having a bad battery, to switching off after login.
I had my MacBook Pro 13" Two Thunderbolt Ports Late 2020 repaired by someone in my area following a water damage incident. I'm guessing the replaced battery was dodgy.
Everything worked fine following the replacement, however after a while I started to notice the battery life start to drain quicker and quicker, then degrading even more to only lasting a few seconds without being plugged in with the USB-C cable that came with it.
Then, it started shutting off after a few seconds past the login screen. I would put my password in, see my homescreen, then black screen, then the bootup Apple logo.
My assumption is that, even while plugged in, the battery can't provide enough power to the system and shuts off, but I'm certainly not well versed when it comes to MacBook internals.
I've had to stop using the laptop, but would replacing the battery fix this issue of crashing after the login screen? I'm happy to provide a video of this or provide any additional information if required! Thanks :)
