@chanel24107 yes, you could try a new battery. First off try to reset your phone in recovery mode:

1. Turn off your phone and wait a few seconds.
2. Press and hold the Volume Down and Power buttons until you see the Android logo.
3. Wait a few seconds.
4. Do not delete the Wipe data/Factory reset, but exit out of this menu. If it came on when you tried to get into recovery mode, you know it is not your battery.

If your phone remains without any sign of life, replacing the sub-board (charging board) and checking the flex cable from the sub_board to the main board would be my next suggestions. Since iFixit does not yet have a guide for this, use something like this video to work on it.

While you work on your phone, take lots of pictures. Once you are done with it, take those pictures and create a guide for iFixit. That will help the next person that has the same problem as you do.
