I can only talk to someone if my speaker is turned on on my phone how do I fix this issue?

Sounds like a microphone failure. Might be a soldering job unless the parts are changable.
Update (03/18/24)
Depends on if you can't hear them or if they can't hear you. might be an earpiece speaker problem if you can't hear them other than how you describe.
