ASUS X550ze blackscreen power light on

blackscreen but the power light is on. i tried removing the RAM and cleaned it but still not working.

Can you get into BIOS OK with display?

Can you get a display when connecting an external monitor (TV?) to the laptop's HDMI port - press Fn + F8 (both together) after the laptop has been started etc?
