Doesnt not show any picture eventhough the backlight ist working

First of all, I checked in a dark room with my flashlight to see if I could spot anything, but I didn’t. I reseated all connections, but nothing happened. I disconnected one side of the ribbon connectors from the T-con board to the panel, and half the display worked (showing a sharp picture with a few fine lines), while the other half turned white. When I disconnected the other ribbon and reconnected the previously disconnected one, it didn’t work, and no picture showed up at all. My guess would be a shot panel, but is there any chance it’s the T-con board?

@mzilla explain again in detail how you disconnected the ribbon cables from the LCD driver boards. If you now get none of those sides to work the issue cold be your T-Con board but again, It could still be the panel. Post a couple of good images of the T-con board with your Question. Let's see if we can find a way to check that board. Ajout d'images à une question existante

Update

@mzilla what I am looking for in particular are the test points. Each OEM uses their own descriptor so it is difficult for me to tell you what they exactly are. If I can see the names for those, I can tell you what voltage we expect on them (not all but the important ones). Now, first check the fuse (Yellow arrow I think I see it saying F1 :-). Test those with your TV on. Voltmeter at 20 VDC and black to ground Red probe to fuse. One end first then the other. What voltage do you get?

Well, I removed the one on the left side, and there was half a picture, with the other half being all white. Afterwards, I reconnected the left side and disconnected the right side, but then there was no picture at all. I also tried using the ribbon cable from the right side on the left side, but that didn’t change anything.

I did remove the Power during the rewireing.

Also checked the ribboncable itself. They seemd fine to me.

@mzilla we'll have to see your T-con board. Something got shorted out.

@mzilla sorry, just seen those :-) Let me take a peek at them. do me a favor. Take a few pictures straight on. That way I can make out the descriptors as I enlarge your pictures.

Hi @mzilla

Bit confused by your question as you said "Doesn't not show any picture even though the backlight is working and then you said "...I checked in a dark room with my flashlight to see if I could spot anything, but I didn’t."

When turning on the TV, was there a lighter looking display i.e. backlights are on, with no picture or did you prove the backlights are OK by some other means? Otherwise why use a flashlight to check for a picture if the backlights were on?

If the backlights don't turn on and there is no picture then here's the service manual that may help you to find the problem.

According to the picture related troubleshooting flowchart on p.28:

if there are no backlights (or sound you didn't say) then the problem is either software or the SSB board.

Perhaps check all the voltage test points on the SSB board as shown on p.33 & p.34 are OK

if there are no backlights and there is sound, then the problem is the PSU or the screen

@jayeff i read this light Trick everywhere as a possibility to check for a broken backlight. So i tried it and it seemed to confirmed my asumption of the TV Screen Not giving any picture but the backlight working.

The Foto of the switched tcon shows on the right and left of the "White" screen how the Pictures looked before switching it.

I can See the backlight working threw holes in the backpanel. At least that was my asumption. The Screen was very bright but just didnt Show a picture. I dont known how a Screen would Look when the flashlight Trick does Work, so why not try it anyways and i did. But If the Screen isnt working and there is no backlight the Screen should stay completely dark right? Thus i thought it must bei the Input into the Screen tcon etc. or the main panel.

I tried a lot with the Help of @oldturkey03 maybe Check the comments there to See what we did.

I can check the voltage. Didnt have this Sheet to compare. Thank you.
