My Pavilion p7-1047cb has stopped playing CDs and DVDs. Is there any help?

Can you hear the dvd or cd disc spin after it has been inserted into the drive?

What OS is installed in the PC, Win7, Win8.1, Win10?

Have you checked the status of the dvd/cd rom drives in Device Manager to check if a). they are being detected at all and b). that they're showing that they are working OK?

What have you checked?
