Replacing the Moto X screen

Mon problème

My Moto X fell from my lap, which resulted in some dead pixels in the corner. The next day, the whole screen was dead

Ma solution

I've bought an screen assembly replacement, and based on reviews that said the accompanying tools would not fit the screws, I decided I should have my own set of tools and bought this.

I'm really happy I decided to do so. The tools are very high quality and helped a lot in the process.

Following the Moto X screen replacement guide here was a breeze and my Moto X is now like new again.

Mon conseil

If your screen replacement do not have the metal frame, you don't need to remove the power and volume rocker nor the speaker (the last steps in the screen replacement tutorial) from the original one since you'll transfer them together with the frame.

The SIM card removal bit in the All-new Pro Tech Toolkit is too thick for some devices. I was not able to use it to eject the SIM card trays from my Mexus 5 or Nexus 5X. Fortunately, I have their original SIM card ejecting tools.
