Separating the controller

  • Remove the five black screws from the back of the controller using a Phillips #00 screwdriver.

  • Place a finger between the faceplate and the rest of the controller and pull each half of the controller apart to separate them.

  • Don't use too much pressure when prying open the controller as you may damage the white ribbon cable connecting both halves.

  • The iFixit Mako Driver (screwdriver that also comes in the Pro Tech Toolkits) is too thick to properly reach the 2 top-middle screws. The middle top-left screw can only be reached at a slight angle, while the middle top-right is near-impossible to reach without the use of the Flex Extension, or deforming the plastic a little bit.

Séparer la manette

Enlevez les cinq vis noires de la manette entourées sur la photo avec le tournevis cruciforme #0.

Retirez la face avant du reste de la manette en mettant votre doigt dans l'ouverture créée suite au retrait des vis.

Ne forcez pas trop afin de ne pas déchirer la nappe qui relie les deux moitiés de la manette.

Le tournevis Mako Driver d'iFixitest trop épais pour atteindre correctement les deux vis du milieu en haut. La vis centrale en haut à gauche ne peut être atteinte qu'avec un léger angle, tandis que la vis centrale en haut à droite est presque impossible à atteindre sans utiliser l'extension flexible ou déformer un peu le plastique.

Le Mako Driver d'iFixit est également inclus dans les Pro Tech Toolkit.
