Stabilize the iMac

  • With the hinge free to move, the iMac will be unbalanced and hard to work on. Repairs can be completed as shown, but are faster and easier with an iFixit cardboard service wedge.

  • Follow these assembly directions to put the service wedge together.

  • If you are not using an iMac service wedge, be very careful when installing and working behind the display—it can easily fall out and break if the iMac moves unexpectedly.

Stabiliser l'iMac

La charnière n'étant pas coincée, l'iMac est instable et difficile à manipuler. Vous pouvez effectuer votre réparation sur l'iMac couché, mais c'est plus facile en le stabilisant avec une cale de maintien pour iMac.

Suivez ces instructions pour l'assembler.

Si vous n'utilisez pas la cale de maintien iMac, soyez très prudent lorsque vous travaillez derrière l'écran, il peut facilement tomber et se casser si l'iMac se déplace de manière inattendue.
