Open the Time Capsule

  • Position the rear side of the device (the side with Ethernet connectors) so that it is facing you.

  • Lift up the left side of the metal plate and slowly flip it over the right edge of the device.

  • To prevent damage, do not lift the metal plate straight up or use force. As shown in the second picture, the fan is attached to the metal plate and connected to the logic board next to the power connector.

  • Since many people have had serious problems with the fan power connnector breaking, it is advisable to NOT try to disconnect the fan power connector. Be VERY careful with this connector. It is extremely fragile. If you absolutely have to disconnect the fan from the logic board, VERY carefully use a spudger or tweezers to do so.

Ouvrir la Time Capsule

Placez le côté arrière de l'appareil (le côté avec les connecteurs Ethernet) afin qu'il soit face à vous.

Soulevez le côté gauche de la plaque métallique et tournez-la lentement sur le bord droit de l'appareil.

Pour éviter tout dommage, ne pas soulever la plaque métallique directement ou utiliser la force. Comme le montre la deuxième image, le ventilateur est attaché à la plaque métallique et connecté à la carte logique à côté du connecteur d'alimentation.

Le connecteur de puissance est TRES fragile, il est conseillé de ne pas essayer de débrancher le connecteur d'alimentation du ventilateur. Soyez très prudent . C'est extrêmement fragile. Si vous devez absolument débrancher le ventilateur de la carte logique, utilisez très soigneusement un spudger ou une pincette pour le faire.
