I do not know if this is your prob but the prossessor for the touch screen breaks loose from the board if you put it in your back pocket. they fixed this issue in the next model.
Hi,the screen is the most expensive part.It sometimes costs more for it than a new tv.If you look around you might find one at a good price,if not you can sell the boards inside on ebay to help with the cost.
Plug things in properly and go.the one you want to install meets the needs of the pc.if you start adding things that take more juice you will need a bigger one but they are everywhere, like ebay
Hi,pull the board and test all connection points on board and body.fix any problems,it doesnt take much to break a trace.microscopes are great but a mag glass will do.look for cracks on board.Thats where i would start.
IT sounds like you did good but the cap is the simtem not the cause.there is a voltage regulator that is bad.unfortunatly i do not know wich one on that unit.find the schematic to solve issue. There are a lot of heat sensative components and electrolytics are one of many so be careful.bad caps are usualy puffy on top.you need to run tests to find the bad ic chip.you can get component specs from alldatasheets.com
