Réponse à : « Can't swipe tablet screen »Hi Bob, I'm sorry about your touch screen not working. Fortunately, there are a couple of things you can do to fix it. Restarting your device is always a good place to start, but considering this was posted 10 months ago I'm assuming that has been tried already. If the problem still persists, you can perform a soft reset by holding the power button for ten seconds, at which point your device will power down. When you turn it back on, it will have completed a soft reset, which is good for clearing minor software glitches and freezes (which may be why your screen wasn't responding). If your screen's unresponsiveness is a hardware problem, where the touch-screen itself is actually broken, you can purchase a new screen and replace it in about 30-45 minutes or so. The web page for your device says that it is being developed and added to now, so you can expect that a guide for replacing the screen will be coming out some time in the next week or so. The guides are normally very comprehensive and easy to follow,...
Réponse à : « Why does my lock screen/power button not work? »Hi Elaina, Sorry about the lock button not working, it is certainly uncomfortable wondering if your device won't turn back on. Take a look at the lock button itself. If there is dirt or grime surrounding the button, try to scrape it out and see if that frees up the button. Sometimes they just get jammed in place. If it is still stuck or unresponsive, it's possible that the spring mechanism on the button is broken. You will need to open up your device and replace the button, which isn't too difficult of a repair. You can view more solutions on the Eee Pad Transformer Prime Troubleshooting Guide You can expect a repair guide for the lock button to appear on the Device Page within a few weeks, as this page has the "student working in progress" flag on it. Another note: If the volume buttons also do not work, it's possible that the whole button key switch is damaged and will need to be replaced. It is rare, and normally caused by a hard impact or water damage. I hope this helps! Aaron
Réponse à : « Why doesn't my charing cord work »Hi David, If your charging cable will charge other devices, but not your Eee Pad, it's likely that your device itself is damaged. As you mentioned in the question, the charger was pulled out harshly, which can often damage the cable or the charging port on your device. First, I would power down your device and take a look at the charging port. Clear debris out of the port if you see any; sometimes a small piece of plastic could break off and interfere with the connection. If that doesn't help, and if the port appears bent, you can attempt to bend it back into place (if this doesn't work, your port is probably broken, so there is no risk in trying to fix it). If neither of these solutions work, you will probably need to replace the charging port on your device. You can also check out more solutions to this issue on the Eee Pad Transformer Prime Troubleshooting Guide. There isn't a repair guide that I've found on IFixit, but the page has the "student working on this page" flag, so there will probably be a...
