If this is the original battery then you should just replace it. they are not expensive and you get to stop worrying about that too. Mike

I fixed this on a 5S just the other day with a new battery. Seems they just give up when near dead and that is the 4005 error and the constant restarting. After new battery, boot it up and immediately reset the phone again (home and power buttons until logo appears). Hope this helps, Mike

Hi, I have 6 or 7 of these in various models/colors and the one thing the G3 was very bad at was starting when the PRAM battery went dead. You can usually get it running again by resetting the PRAM chip on boot. Hold down the following keys at or before you hear the chime (you do get a chime? or just a pop from speakers?) OPTION - COMMAND (APPLE) - P - R Keep them down until you hear chime 2 times then let them go. If no chime, but just a pop from speaker, then power supply would be next stop. If the pop is coming from inside, then you may have a more serious logic board issue. Mike

Hi, I would suspect the driver board. Since you have a decent picture there, what's missing is the entire signal being sent out. That signal gets split into lots of ribbon cables at base or top of LCD panel and they then power the strips in the LCD. One thing you could try to verify if ribbons are loose/bad or if video driver board is bad is grab the display at opposite corners, like left top and right bottom and slightly twist the case. If the display changes, gets better/worse, then the ribbons are suspect. If no change, then I would proceed to the driver board. My bet is the board. Rare for those ribbons to come loose. Mike

If it visibly snapped then it may have shorted and there may be a fuse somewhere upstream from it. Try to follow the wires back, making sure they are tight at connections and if a fuse is there, it will be in line along those leads. Question though, how did it break? Something drop on it while running or did it overheat and then it snapped? If it overheated then there may be an over temp limit switch, kind of like a breaker, that would either have a button to push to reset it or it would have to be replaced. I've seen this with dryers where the element got too hot from lint build up and the over limit would pop. You would most of the time have to replace it. There should also be a temp sensor that would tell a relay to turn heat on/off depending on temp. that could be bad as well or by itself. Good Luck

I have 1 screen that I bought cheap. Worst thing ever. I only buy here. Don't care about price, I want the quality. Every screen is great and I have not had one go wonky. So I am not sure why peeps looking for displays just don't visit iFixit store and look at their stuff first. Mike

I forget but does the iMac have a battery? the PRAM battery can mess up a Mac. Rest PRAM and also Power Manager and see if that helps. you changed a lot that involve those 2 and it may just fix it. Mike

Hi, I have not heard this before but I would try the following right off before going any further. Try a restart. Hold POWER and HOME at same time until Apple logo appears and then let keys go. Try it and see if that helped. Restore the phone. backup the phone in iTunes or your favorite backup program and the do a hard reset. this will force a reinstall of the firmware and then you can restore from the backup. Hopefully one of them will resolve that. If not, it may be a hardware issue that needs further testing. Mike

Ummm, if the MacBook is acting up like this, then something definitely happened. A blinking ? is a sign of NO BOOT DEVICE. That's no Hard Drive is available to boot from. Sounds like that water did get in there and it got to the connector for the hard drive, which is very close to the trackpad underneath. I would get that opened up and looked at. Leaving it for 4 days may have done it in, whereas if you had gotten in there and dried it out with a heat gun or hair dryer you may have been able to save it.
