Not that difficult……… if you are having trouble, search youtube for basic solder / desolder videos.
Same principles apply to micro usb ports on many devices. *** It much easier to remove old port using hot air rather than a solder iron***
I would add… “Be careful taking these type of connectors apart” …. its easy to pull the entire thing off the motherboard and rip pads !
The pulled pads can be replaced but its extra work you don’t need :-) and requires equipment and skill to do and cold require jumper wires.
If you are just replacing the screen, this is wrong. This would help if you are replacing with a “screen in frame”
main reason for changing it is a worn out or loose charge port
Make sure you buy the correct charge port assembly......... some models just have the one antenna cable (blue) and some have 2 cables.
the blue one and a white one. If your phone has 2 cables and you use the assembly with just 1....... you may get poor cell reception.
Pry up on the connector to remove the camera before trying to lift motherboard
