I accidentally broke this thin cable while replacing the battery. Is this a part I can replace or is the phone toast?

Alright, my issue was solved very simply! The battery life is a lot shorter than a new one. I simply had to leave it on charge for a few hours until the batter filled up to 100%.

Of course with a take apart of any device the waterproofing will be gone unfortunately.
