You will need to open your iBook and remove the hard drive. Then, you will need an enclosure to connect it and transfer the data to the new mac. What iBook model is it?

Hi, yes you can replace your optical drive with an SSD. From what you tell us about your MBP, this guide should be the one you need to follow. Installing MacBook Pro 15" Unibody Late 2008 and Early 2009 Dual Hard Drive You will need a caddy or enclosure to hold the SSD on the optical bay area. You need to double check if your MBP uses SATA or ATA to connect to the CD/DVD. To do so, check the hardware info about your MBP and look in both ATA and SATA tabs, the one that shows the CD-DVD will be the type of connector you will need to use.

As far as capacity there is no restriction. Your SSD's need to be 2.5" drives to fit in the mac mini.

It must be something with the display cable, look at step 8 on the guide: Remplacement de l'écran complet du MacBook Pro 13" Unibody mi-2009 Something similar happened to me with a dell, the data cable had an issue and it would make the display go crazy in colours.

Ram specs for your macbook are 1066 MHz PC3-8500 DDR3 SDRAM. Trascend will run but only at 1066 and not at 1333mhz G.Skill will run.
