Réponse à : « iPhone 6 backlight. Apple logo then no display »In addition to @brokegadget suggestion, you may try to turn your phone to DFU mode. I would suggest you to check & clean (using the right process) the connector pins. Hope this helps, Vincent
Réponse à : « I need to completely rebuild I phone 6 Plus after bad accident. »Hi Dan, Sorry for your loss, it must feel horrible. I understand how high you'd love to recover your son's phone data. (1) If the motherboard is not dead, you may be able to transfer it to a new set of components, which is a tricky operation, I would suggest you to be helped if you're a novice (2) If the motherboard of the phone is damaged, I'm afraid that you won't be able to recover anything, as long as the memory is a really small part, soldered to the motherboard. Anyway, I suggest that you come back here, post pictures of the phone (outside & outside if you can manage to open it safely) so we can try & help you with the diagnosis ! Hope this helps, Good luck, Vincent
Réponse à : « Having problems replacing battery in iPhone 4S »iFixit sellsiPhone 4s screw set. However, as @Ben noticed, the phone should be able to turn on without the screws installed. You should have removed only a few screws and no other part to access the battery. Hope this helps ! Vincent
Réponse à : « 2006 Intel iMac wouldn't power on »Hi Michael ! I would 1st suggest you to try unplugging the machine, holding the power button for 10s then plugging it back it. I had the same problem with the same mac model. I ended up replacing the power supply unit (iFixit sells that part) and it now works well. Couldn't tell if your computer has the same problem but I'm glad that it fixed mine. Hope this helps !
Réponse à : « Mac Mini beeps on boot , after HDD replacement and RAM swap? »Hi Derek ! You have been well informed. A bac beeping that way on startup means that the ram was not correctly inserted. Beware, removing RAM is pretty easy to do but to replace it correctly, you need to press it firmly so it is well connected. I had the same problem the 1st time I changed RAM in a mac, just had to insert it again with a more significant amount of strength and it did the job. In addition, I would suggest to try this after inserting the new ram : (1) Unplug your computer, and press the start button for 10s, plug it back in (2) Start your computer and immediately press simultaneously alt+cmd+r+p which resets the PRAM Hope this helps!
Réponse à : « How to fix my iPod stuck at 23 million minutes? »I would suggest that you put your iPod into DFU Mode to restore it. In case you don't know how to do this : (1) Plug your iPod to your computer (PC or Mac, it doenst really matter) (2) Press both the home and power button until it shuts down. (3) ONLY RELEASE the power button, keep the home button pressed for approximately 20s. Your computer should then prompt that it has detected a device on recovery mode and will suggest you to restore it. Just do so. Hope this helps !
Réponse à : « Are the speakers compatible with the earlier versions (12~14mid)? »As you may see on these 2 guides (for 2014 & 2015 15" MBP retina), They have the same shape, same screws & apparently the same connector. I would say yes, but I could not be 100% sure about it as this information is not provided anywhere (no part on the store, and I've not been able to find it elsewhere). Réponse à : « My back cover doesn't pop off easily »iPhone 4/4S rear glass isn't as easy to remove as you may think. It should be open like a calculator. Hold it from the bottom with both of your hands and pull the panel with both of your thumbs to make it slide. Once it slides, then you can remove it easily. It requires a "significant" amount of pressure, especially the 1st time on an used smartphone (because of dust). Hope this helps Vincent
Réponse à : « Can't get top right corner screw back in. »Hi ! As long as this screw is a contact screw, there's no surprise about your phone not responding once reassembled. I suggest that you use different screwdrivers, not being able to give you an accurate reference as long as I no longer own an iPhone 4. If you still can't manage to screw it or that the head is a bit damaged, some tools sold f.e. at iFixit may help you. I personally use this one for damaged screws.
