I am a former professional auto mechanic (Porsche and numerous foreign marques). I am currently a semi-retired computer programmer. My hobbies include motorcycles both riding and wrenching. Home automation. I like to pay it forward to the gear-head community what little I know. Having said that... I will not respond to rhetorical questions or blatant attempts to troll against my contributions. I periodically write articles on a blog about my projects. You may find those here: Timbocephus

Réponse à : « Why has my Moto G7 Play notifications volume dropped to almost zero? »What Android version is this phone?
Réponse à : « Why does Google keep asking for user names & passwords I don't know? »Motorola phones use the Android system which is heavily reliant on Google software and network services. If you want to use these services (email-gmail, maps and so on) you will need a Google login and password to get access. If you don’t care about these services you can disable them individually in settings->Apps&Notification->Gmail(for instance). If you already use some other web mail facility (yahoo for example). You can find a yahoo mail app in the google play store (yes you have to have a google account for the play store also). Or you could just access yahoo mail via the browser that is already on your phone without resorting to a dedicated app. I have not tried this last suggestion and have no idea if the results are even sensible and usable on a small mobile device screen. There are compromises involved in using any “smart” phone/mobile device these days.

Réponse à : « kindle is bricked, pc shows tate, but cant get adb to work! »I had to look up fastboot cable. Read your original post also…. Looks like you got the cable working already on the android side. I have had better luck using adb on linux PCs instead of having to mess with windows USB drivers. Others will no doubt have other opinions. Also noticed that some folks opinion is that an incorrectly wired fastboot cable can cause damage that is more difficult to fix … rendering reflashing with said cable impossible perhaps.
Réponse à : « Accessories not gripped tightly »Measure the shaft on the tool in question. It is probably 3/32” and you probably have a 1/8” collet installed in the collet nut. If you have lost that part or did not get it with the tool they are readily available on line. https://www.ereplacementparts.com/collet-332-p-97423.html?osCsid=ne6i5osls3a3eng9vn57fi...
