The battery may be overheating because of long continuous use, so let the drill cool down for a while and resume regular use. If the drill still continuous to heat up after leaving it to cool down then one of the problems might be a connection problem in the battery pack. The problem you are facing is because of the planet gear inside the chuck. the gear might be loose, or some the components may be broken and need to be replaced. When this problem happens it could be one of two things. The battery may no longer be holding a charge and therefore a new battery must be used. Another problem can be because of the battery charger.
