ASUS VivoTab Note 8 Troubleshooting

Both of the following problems may be fixed by restarting the device, however it won't always work. If the pen is not responding, try using your finger on the touchscreen. If your finger does not affect the touchscreen, then there is a problem with the touchscreen.

Neither the touchscreen nor the pen work.

Go to device manager, then Human Interface Devices. Disable and re-enable all the drivers. If there is an update available, then install it. After checking everything, restart.

The touchscreen works, however the pen does not.

Go to device manager, then Human Interface Devices. If you have the Wacom driver there, uninstall it, then reboot with an internet connection to reinstall the drivers.

You're unable to access BIOS through conventional Windows methods.

Reset the device by holding down the power button for ten seconds. After the screen goes from completely black to slightly back-lit, press and hold the power button and volume down button simultaneously until the BIOS menu appears on the screen. Be sure to do this before the booting process begins, or this method will not work.

Upon attempting to access BIOS prior to booting into Windows, nothing happens.

In most cases the battery is draining too fast.

The best way to save battery life of ASUS Vivo Tab Note 8 is to use app called Auto-start Manager app. This app enables the system of your device to save the battery power when it boosts its system performance , and releasing the battery power and memory they use. So when you use the Auto-start Manager, go to disable and change the Allow slider to Deny. Whenever you done with these steps, the app will release the battery power used and memory.
