If the screen of your Anbernic RG353V handheld game console is flickering or displaying incorrect brightness (too bright or too dark), follow these troubleshooting tips to resolve the issue:
Brightness Setting is Incorrect
The auto-brightness setting might be on causing the screen to flicker.
- The screen being too bright might be due to it being on the auto brightness feature, which can be easily fixed.
- To fix the screen brightness just head to your settings and find the display button, it will guide you to your screen settings and more. From there you can edit your brightness to your preferred level. Make sure to turn off the auto-brightness feature before editing your brightness level.
Faulty SD Card
The SD card inside the Anbernic RG353V might be old.
- Don't worry, if you have a spare make sure it is compatible with your Anbernic RG353V before replacing the faulty SD card.
- If you don't have a spare SD card that is compatible, or you have a spare that isn't compatible with your Anbernic RG353V purchasing a new one is your safest option. (Make sure it’s compatible with the Anbernic RG353V and up to date, too.)
Digital Terrestrial Broadcasting Is Too High
The DTB might be too high.
- Some of the units might not be reliable to boot on ArkOS at the spec speed of 1.8Ghz.
- It's alright, this sometimes happens. To fix this you will need to have a laptop, or some type of PC Available.
- You will then need to remove the SD card of your Anbernic RG353V and plug it into the PC to see the files. The file you should be looking for is currently zipped up.
- Unzip the DTB that lowers the max speed from 1.8Ghz to 1.4Ghz and place the rk3566-OC.dtb file in the BOOT partition.
- Once finished safely remove the SD card from the PC and place it back into the Anbernic RG353V.
Faulty Screen
The screen might be faulty.
- If you've tried all other fixes, your screen may be faulty or sustained damage. Follow this guide to replace your screen.
