Touch Screen Unresponsive

The touch screen display works, but is unresponsive to user input

Device needs a Soft Reset

If the screen is on and not responding to any input, hold down the power button to turn the display off and on again. If the problem persists move on to the hard reset.

Device needs a Hard Reset

A hard reset will delete all the data off your phone, so make sure to backup any data that you can.

To begin the hard reset, first turn off the phone. Then hold both the power button and up on the volume switch till you see the BLU logo. Once the BLU logo appears, release the power button. Make sure you keep the volume up button depressed until the system menu appears. When the menu appears, use the volume key to select the “wipe data/factory reset” option. Tap the volume up button to confirm. Your phone has now been reset to factory defaults.

Defective Motherboard

If after both the soft and hard reset the touch screen is still unresponsive, your motherboard may be defective. To replace the motherboard, please see our guide here.

Unable to Install Apps

Receiving error messages when trying to install new apps or download any content

Low Internal memory

Delete any media (music, pictures, or videos) or unused applications to free up space from the internal memory.

If you do not want to delete any data, you can insert an external SD card into the phone.

To insert an SD card, remove the back cover from the phone. The SD slot is to the right of SIM card 2, and above the battery. Apps can be saved directly to the SD card by selecting the option from the app store.

Device needs a Hard Reset

If after clearing or adding memory, you still cannot download apps a hard reset may be needed.

Speakers Are Quiet or Distorted

The sound emitted from the speaker is muffled or has a static effect

Device is in Headphone/Silent Mode

Make sure that the volume is turned all the way up.

Then go to the settings and be sure that the “silent” feature and “headphone mode” is turned off. (If a headphone icon on appears on the screen, then this means that headphone mode is activated).

Obstructed Speakers

A clogged speaker grill can degrade audio quality. Ensure that the speaker grill is free of debris.

Defective Speaker

If the sound is programmed to be on, then the motherboard may need to be replaced. Please see our motherboard replacement guide for more help.

Short Battery Life

The battery is depleting rapidly

Charge Cycle needs to be Reset

Fully charged device before allowing the battery to deplete completely before fully charging it again. This will help to maintain the helps if your battery and it's recommended to be performed once a month.

Apps are Continuously Running

Apps can run in the background and deplete your battery. Uninstall or disable apps that are not being used frequently.

Connectivity Services are On

Turning off connectivity services, like WiFi and Bluetooth, will prevent your phone from searching for WiFi networks and/or other devices and increase your battery life.

Faulty Battery

If the issue still persists the battery may be defective. Please refer to thebattery replacement guide for more help with this issue.

Poor Picture quality

Pictures are coming out blurry when taken with the either the front or back camera

Dirty Camera Lens

Ensure that the lens covering the camera is free of fingerprints and dirt. Use a soft, clean rag to clean the lens.

Camera not Displaying an Image

If either camera is not displaying an image, you may have a defective camera module. To replace the front camera, please refer to our guide here. To replace the back camera, please refer to our guide here.
