Jazz Ultratab will not charge

You have connected your device to a charger but it does not charge

Charger is connected improperly

There is a possibility that the charger is not fully connected to the device. Try unplugging the charger from the device and plugging it back in.

Charger is broken

Sometimes the device is not the problem, it is the charger. Inspect the charger end that plugs in to the device as well as the port on the device. If there is a build-up of debris in the port or the charger itself, problems may arise. After cleaning out the debris, try charging the device again.

Bad outlet

Sometimes the device and charger are both fine and it is the outlet that is the problem. If the outlet is bad, there will be no power being sent to your charger and ultimately you will get no charge on the device. Test the outlet with other devices to see if the outlet is working properly. You could also try a new outlet altogether. Either way, if the outlet is bad, you will know.

Bad battery

Your device may be suffering from a bad battery, which means it is incapable of holding a charge. If this is the case, replacement of the battery is necessary. If you are not sure how to do this, we have a guide you can check our for battery replacement.

Charger port may be loose

If your device only charges when the cable is at the right angle, this might be the issue. If a device is plugged in to a charger and is dropped on the charger connection, it can sever the connection of the port with the motherboard. Hence why you have to angle the cable just right to charge your device (it fixes the severed connection). If you feel this is your problem, we have a guide for charger port replacement showing how to access the port inside your device.

Jazz Ultratab will not connect to wireless networks

You cannot connect to a wireless network in your area

Device needs a restart

It is surprising how many problems can be resolved by simply restarting the device. When it comes to wireless networks, devices like the Jazz Ultratab have a "lease time" which means they have limited time they can be connected to a network. If your device does not connect to a network, it might need a new lease. One way to get a new lease is to restart the device.

Check your router

Make sure that the router you want to connect to is in good status. Check to see if it is powered off or has any cables loose. Correct any issues with the router, and try to connect to the network again. If you still have a problem connecting to the network, try another device. If the other device cannot connect to the network, then there may be issues with the internet service itself. If you feel you have a problem with the internet service, contact your internet service provider.

Incorrect Network information

It is very important to have the right information for your network if you want to connect to it. Be sure that you have the right password for your router and that you are connecting to the correct router. If you have never tampered with router settings then all of the required information (such as the router's name and password) to connect to the router is located on a sticker on the side or bottom of the router. Double check this information and try again.

Jazz Ultratab is running slowly

Performing tasks on the device are taking increased amounts of time or device becomes unresponsive

Device requires a restart

Most devices suffer from performance losses when they have been active for prolonged periods of time. Try powering your device off and waiting about 5-10 minutes before turning it back on. This should clear out most of the lingering applications that are eating up your device resources.

Power saving features might need to be toggled

By default, some devices have power saving features that are designed to give you more battery life. As your device gets older, it has a harder time keeping up with updated software. Therefore, some power-saving features that are designed to make your device run slower may not be ideal. Browse the main options menu and look for the “Power Saving Mode” option. Select it. Turn off the “CPU Performance” setting to give your device a small increase in speed. The trade off with this is that overall battery life may suffer.

Too much data on the device

Devices slow down when there is too much stored on them (pictures, applications, other types of media, etc.). If your device has a lot of data stored on it, find some things to delete. Deleting some items may result in a faster device.

Factory reset

If all else fails, you could consider a factory reset. Tread with caution whenever considering this option as you will lose all the data stored on your device’s memory. This means all applications and data since the first day you received your device. After a factory reset, the phone will perform better, but you will have nothing on the device outside of the standard applications that come with the device.

Jazz Ultratab will not power on/screen is black

You have tried to power the device on or off and it did not work

Low battery

Sometimes the device buttons or normal actions do no work when the battery is low. Attach a charger to the device. Give the device some time to charge then try again.

Dead battery

A dead battery will always prevent the device from powering on. Attach the charger to your device to provide it with a proper charge. Once the device has fully charged, give it another try.

Bad battery

Your device may be suffering from a bad battery, which means it is incapable of holding a charge. If this is the case, replacement of the battery is necessary. If you are not sure how to do this, we have a guide you can check our for battery replacement.

Screen is broken

It is possible that your device is powering on but you are not seeing it because the screen is broken. Screens tend to break as a result of fall damage or water damage.

Bad Motherboard

A bad motherboard could be the reason why your device is not powering on. The motherboard is the main circuitry for your device. If your device has experienced water damage and will not power on as a result, the motherboard could be the problem. If you are interested in replacing the motherboard for your device, we have a guide for motherboard replacement.

Jazz Ultratab will not play sounds

You have tried to listen to music or play games and no sound is produced

Volume is turned down

There is a possibility that the volume is not turned up properly. There are multiple volume options on android devices that control the volume of different sounds. If there is no sound being played while running applications or playing music, the media volume might be too low.

Volume buttons are broken

If there is damage to your volume buttons the side of your device, then they may not be capable of hitting the part that they need to in order to adjust the volume of the device. If your device has button damage, they can be replaced. If you would like to replace the volume buttons on your device, we recommend that you check out our guide for side button replacement.

Speaker is broken

If you have exhausted all options when attempting to fix your sound problem, then the problem might be the speaker itself. A broken speaker is most commonly the result of water damage but may have other causes as well. If you think the speaker might be the problem and would like to replace it, we recommend that you check out our speaker replacement guide.

Jazz Ultratab will not update applications or software

You have tried to get the latest update with no success

Already up-to-date

Sometimes your device is set up to receive updates automatically. This means that your device may have updated as soon as it connected to a network. Check to make sure your device is not already up to date.

Wifi

Be sure that you are connected to a wireless network, Android software updates are classified as over-the-air (OTA). This means your device must be connected to a wireless network to receive them. Once the device is connected to a network, it can begin the update process.

Device model

Each software update has a list of the devices it will work for. Make sure your device falls within the models that are compatible with the updates. If your device is not listed, then it will not be eligible for the update. Lists of eligible devices for updates are usually provided by the distributor of the software on the update information page or in a downloadable document.
