Distorted audio and microphone
The phone lacks adequate audio for the user and receiver.
Users reported that the HTC One Remix speakers were very low in volume and would often go out. Sometimes this would cause the user to only be able to use the speakerphone feature. Replacing the speaker in the phone is the most efficient way to fix these problems.
Motherboard is faulty
Through process of elimination, faulty parts can be narrowed down easily. If the HTC One Remix does not turn on after prior efforts, it is likely that the motherboard needs to be replaced.
Sim card not easily accessible
Access to SIM card tray is not very user friendly.
Notification of no sim card present
A common error among users is the phone saying there is is no SIM card when there is a SIM card present. Users have found that the SIM card tray is often crooked or broken. The solution to this is to get a new SIM card or new SIM card tray.
Disconnection from network due to SIM card error
LTE will disconnect and the phone will say there is no SIM card when there is a SIM card. Users have found it helpful to reboot the phone to make LTE work again. If this is a recurring problem you may need to return or exchange the phone.
Touchscreen does not respond to touch
Phone screen goes black and is unresponsive to touch.
Turn off apps
In the event that you are unable to reset the phone turn off all the apps and this can be done by going to settings, then accessibility and under services, turn off all apps.
Reset or Soft Reset Phone
Hold down the Power/Lock button for about 10 seconds until it starts up. If that doesn’t work try removing the battery to power off the device and then attaching it.
First begin by making sure that the device is powered off, press and hold the volume down button and the power button. If the devices isn’t off, press and hold the volume up button and the power button for about 10 seconds, once the device is off repeat the previous step. Wait for three Android images on skateboards to show and when they do, release all buttons. Press the Volume down button to and once it highlights FACTORY RESET press the power button. Using the Volume up button to highlight option and using the power button to select it. The factory reset should take about 10 minutes to complete and once that is done.
Short battery life causes unintentional shutdowns
Random shutdowns may be caused by a short battery life.
Close Running Applications
Often applications will still be opened and still running. When this happens, it is common that the applications that are still open and running still draining the battery without our knowledge. With the HTC One Remix you are able to press the home button twice to see all the applications that are draining the battery at the moment. From this stage you are able to close the applications so that they will not be draining the battery anymore. If you wish to close an application(s), with your finger, swipe to the side (left or right) or by tapping on the close icon. If this does not extend the battery life of the HTC One Remix then another option is a factory reset, as the Touchscreen does not respond to touch section explains how to accomplish a factory reset with HTC One Remix.
Closing all the applications may help extend the battery life of the HTC One Remix because there are not applications draining the battery anymore. If the device is continuing to have random shutdowns with no applications draining the battery in the background, and a factory reset does not help the issue then it is likely that the battery will need to be replaced.
Battery will not recharge
Although the phone is connected to a charger the device does not charge.
When the device is plugged into the wall it is important to check that the outlet on the wall you are using is operational. To check to see if the problem is the charger you may use the charger for other electronic devices that accept a charge through the same connection shape. If no other electronic device will be able to charge from the charger then it is the charger that needs to be replaced. Charging chords that have rips in them or have wires exposed are not safe to use nd should be disposed of.
Recalibrate the battery
If other electronic devices are able to accept a charge then the issue is not in the charger and is in the phone. One option is to recalibrate the battery by charging it for twenty minutes until the red LED light is on, then pressing the power button for a 5-10 seconds to turn the device on. If the device is still not able to turn on then hold down the power button and the volume up and down buttons together from about 1-5 minutes. If the issue is not solved by looking at the charger or re-calibrating your battery then the battery itself may need to be replaced.
