Krups F203 Coffee Grinder Troubleshooting

This is a guide to help with common problems users face with the Krups F203 Coffee Grinder.

Grinder Grinds too Slowly

The grinder is not grinding beans as quickly as it should.

Need to clean

Ground coffee particulates can clog the device. This can cause beans to be ground too coarsely or too slowly. Clean the device of all coffee grounds, and check especially around the base of the blade.

Too much coffee

If you put too many coffee beans into the grinder, the grinder will be unable to function properly. Remove some of the beans and try again.

Dull blade

It is possible that the blade has dulled over time. The only recourse is to replace it.

Bad motor

If the grinder stops and starts or there are strange noises associated with the poor grinding, the motor may be bad. This would necessitate a new motor. Use this guide to replace the motor.

Grinder Grinds too Coarsely

The grinder does not grind coffee beans efficiently or effectively. This problem keeps beans from being ground as fine as desired.

Too much coffee

If you put too many coffee beans into the grinder, the grinder will be unable to function properly. Remove some of the beans and try again.

Dull blade

It is possible that the blade has dulled over time. The only recourse is to replace it.

Bad motor

Grinder fails to initiate

For some reason, the grinder will not even turn on to grind the coffee beans.

Not plugged in

First, make sure that the plug attached to the grinder is plugged in.

Cap/Trigger not positioned properly

If the cap is attached incorrectly, the trigger will not depress its button to grind the coffee beans. Attach the cap to wear the button can fully depress or readjust/replace the trigger. Reference this guide for trigger replacement.

Button under cap is clogged

Depress the button with a thin implement, such as a toothpick, repeatedly to cycle to the coffee grounds out of the button.

Bad motor

If none of the above are the source of the issue the motor may be bad. If this is the case, you will have to replace the motor. Use this guide to replace the motor.
