The phone may need to clear its DNS server and ip address protocols. In order to do this, turn airplane mode on for 30 seconds, then turn airplane mode off. If the problem still exists, restart the phone.

Incorrect WiFi password

Go into settings and delete the saved wifi network. Clear all passwords and cached data from the wifi network. Reconnect.

Applications Will Not Open

Applications crash and show error messages when opening.

Insufficient RAM

Go into settings and “Force Stop” any applications that are running and you do not need. This will free up RAM and allow your device to run quicker.

Corrupted Application

Uninstall the troubled application and delete all data. Reinstall.

Overheating Battery

If the battery is too hot, or the phone does not have a steady charge, data will be processed slower. Turn the phone off until it cools, or provide better cooling to the phone by taking the case off.

Corrupt Hard Drive

To identify if your hard drive is corrupt, install applications to the SD card instead of the hard drive. This method may or may not help identify the issue, depending on whether or not core operating system files on the hard drive are corrupt.

Corrupt Operating System

Before uninstalling the operating system, attempt to run firmware upgrades on the phone to the most recent version. After these upgrades are complete and the phone has been reset, if the problem persists then you will need to erase all data on the phone and reinstall the operating system. This can be accomplished by holding the power button and the volume down key. Once the phone vibrates, release the power key and continue to hold the volume down key until the boot menu loads. From here you can make changes to the phone’s firmware. Any changes made in this mode will not be reversible unless a backup is made.

Corrupt SD Card

If there is an SD card installed, there could be corruption. To identify if the SD card is corrupt, attempt to open only applications on the SD card, and then applications on the hard drive of the phone. If the ones which are not on the SD card open, but the ones on the SD card will not, the SD card is corrupt and must be replaced. The SD card will need to be replaced, as detailed *here*. (Insert repair guide) Warning: This WILL cause a loss of data from the SD card.

Applications Will Not Update/Download

The phone displays an error message when attempting to download or update an application.

Insufficient Memory

If there is insufficient memory on the device, applications will be unable to update or download. To fix this issue, delete some unused applications, pictures, or music files. Once enough space has cleared, the applications will download or update without issues.

Cannot Hear Audio

Audio cannot be heard when audio is playing.

Broken Audio Port

If you are using headphones which are not broken, but still cannot hear audio, the problem could be the audio port. If the audio port is broken, it should be replaced as detailed *here*. (Insert link to repair guide)

Broken Headphones

If you are using headphones to listen to audio, ensure that the headphones are not broken. To do this, try using them with another device and try to listen to audio. If there is still no audio, the headphones need to be replaced.

Broken Speaker

If audio cannot be heard when the phone is not being used with headphones, and the volume is not muted, the speaker is the issue. If the speaker is broken, it should be replaced as detailed *here*. (Insert link to repair guide)

Media Muted

If you are unable to hear any media at all, first make sure that the phone has not been muted. To check this, go to settings and check the volume. The media is muted if there is a diagonal line through the speaker picture.

Application Muted

Check application’s settings to make sure the audio has not been turned off. The application settings will show a speaker with a diagonal line through it if the application has been muted.
