Phone Won’t Turn On
Your LG Optimus T will not turn on when you press the power button
Battery Low
If your phone won’t turn on when you press the power button, first check that it is fully charged. Make sure your charger works by trying it on a different phone. Then, plug your LG Optimus T into the charger for two hours and try turning it on again.
Battery Damaged
If the phone still will not turn on after charging, your battery may be damaged. One way to check this is to find someone with the same phone and trying their battery in your phone following our replacement guide. If your phone turns on, then you will need to install a new battery. If it doesn’t, the problem may be your motherboard.
Motherboard Damaged
If neither charging your phone nor trying a different battery has worked, you may need to replace your motherboard, following our replacement guide.
Phone won’t hold a charge
Your LG Optimus T has trouble charging or only stays charged for a short time
Dirty or Corroded Battery Terminals
Inspect your battery for any corrosion on the terminals. Use this guide to remove your phone’s back cover and access the battery. Polish the terminals with a light abrasive such as fine grain sandpaper, then clean the terminals with a lint free cloth, and replace the battery.
Clogged Charging Port
Make sure your phone’s charging port is free of debris such as lint from your pocket. Try blowing the debris out of the port with a compressed gas duster, or remove it with tweezers.
Faulty Charging Cable
Your charging cable may have some damaged wires that are causing interruptions during charging. Try charging your phone with a different Micro USB cable.
Dead or Damaged Battery
Your battery may be dead or it may have a lower capacity due to frequent use, age, or exposure to excessive heat.
Use this guide to remove your phone’s back cover and access the battery. Once you remove your phone’s battery test its voltage using a multimeter. If the battery is showing a low voltage it should be replaced.
Screen is unresponsive
Your LG Optimus T’s screen is unresponsive to touch, or is inaccurately registering touch placement

Accessory Interference
If screen is still unresponsive, remove case and screen protecter and retest issue.
SD Card Issue
Remove SD card by taking off the back panel of the phone and locating the square chip towards the edge of the back, and retest the issue. If the issue only occurs when the SD card is inserted, then the card is the issue and you may need a new one.
Internal Glitch/Malfunction
The problem is most likely in the phone’s software. Try restarting the phone. If issue still exists, try a system or factory reset. To factory reset follow these 5 steps:
1. Save all important data to SD card.
2. Turn off phone.
3. Press and hold Volume Down, Power button and Home button at the same time.
4. After LG logo appears, release buttons.
5. Phone is reset, turn phone on.
Buttons are unresponsive
Your LG Optimus T’s buttons are stuck, or will not respond
Locked Keypad
Make sure the device keypad is unlocked. Check settings, keypad settings.
Dirt Built Up
There may be dirt built up around the buttons. Take soft, clean cloth and spray with cleaner, wipe down buttons.
Button is Stuck
If button seems to be stuck, gently wiggle buttons from side to side to pop back into place. If button still does not pop back into place, you may need to replace it following the guide here.
Internal Glitch
Restart the device, and retest issue.
Audio Output is Distorted
Your LG Optimus T turns on and appears to work, but when you plug in headphones or use speakers, the audio doesn't play properly
Bad headphone/speaker
The problem may be with your headphones or phone’s speakers. Try other headphones and retest the issue. If issue still persists there may be an issue with the speakers.
Loose Headphone Jack
If inserting another set of headphones doesn’t work, you may need to replace your headphone jack.
