Computer Will Not Charge Efficiently

Your computer will not charge, or it will charge but lose battery quickly.

Power Adapter Not Plugged In

Sometimes your computer’s power adapter is not properly plugged. Check that all parts of the power adapter are properly connected while also looking for possible cuts or damage. If computer does not show the charging light while plugged properly or the adapter appears damaged, the adapter might be faulty. Consider purchasing a replacement.

Battery Life Inefficient

If the adapter is plugged and working but the battery does not charge, or the battery life decreases rapidly after the removal of the adapter from the computer’s charging port. The computer’s battery needs replacement. Try replacing the battery with this guide.

Programs Running Slowly

Your computer is running slowly, precisely the programs launched after startup.

Corrupted Files

Sometimes important files for a program to run can get corrupted. It might make it slow or it does not run at all. To resolve this issue, reinstall the programs by going to Control Panel > uninstall a program. Select the desired program and select Uninstall. After the program is uninstalled. You will need to install it again.

Not Enough Memory RAM

If you computer is running slow or a program crash during intensive use, you might not have enough memory RAM. Ensure that the computer has enough memory RAM to run the desired software. To check it, search for "system property" at the windows search bar. It will show how much memory is installed. If not enough, consider upgrading it by using this guide.

Mechanical Hard Drive Malfunctioning

Sometimes mechanical hard drive malfunction, it is a delicate piece and susceptible to damage if dropped or with a rough impact. It will impact overall performance in the computer and also on programs. Try replacing it for a Solid-State Drive (SSD) by using this guide.

Keyboard Unresponsive/Keys Not Working

Your keyboard won't respond to keys pressed or some keys are stuck.

Keys Stuck

If some of the keys are hard to press, there might be something stuck underneath the keys. You can fix this by removing the individual key and check to see if there is something interfering with its function. Once it is done, replace it.

Computer Is Heating Up Too Much

My computer is heating up extremely fast, even when it’s not doing high workload and it shuts down.

Dust in Vents or Fans

Computers can overheat due to excessive dust and other materials stuck in the vents or fan. You can  fix this by using a compressed air duster to carefully blow the dust off the vents and fan. Make sure the vent is getting sufficient cooling and air while placed on your lap or desk. For fans replacement use this guide.

Inadequate Amount of Thermal Paste

Your computer may not have adequate contact between the heat sink and processor. This is usually caused by a lack of thermal paste or by air in between the two components. To fix this, completely clean off any old thermal paste, then apply a bead of new thermal paste directly in the center of the processor. Gently push the heat sink back in place and tighten screws to lock down the heat sink.

WiFi and Bluetooth do not connect to any networks

My computer WiFi does not connect to any network and my Bluetooth doesn’t connect to other devices.
