Speaker Won't Turn On

I am pressing and holding the power button but the speaker will not turn on.

Speaker is not charged

There is a little LED indicator on the bottom of the speaker that flashes an ongoing white light. The Boom's battery level can be checked by holding the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons for two to three seconds. The speaker will then indicate whether the boom is charging and the current battery level.

Faulty Battery

First, flip the speaker over so that the bottom is facing up, then insert 2 of the tools included in the kit into the gap shown on the speaker. You are using the tools as a lever to increase the size of the gaps, then use a flat screwdriver to open the lid on the speaker to get to the battery. Next, unplug the original battery and remove it, then insert and replace the old battery with your new Power 99 battery into the speaker and plug it in. Lastly, you close the lid/cap of the speaker, flip it back over, and turn it on, and it should work fine.

No Sound Coming Out Of Speaker

Speaker is on, light is showing, but no sound will play from the speaker.

Speaker Volume Is Low

The volume on the speaker may be turned down all the way. Press the big plus sign (+) on the speaker to increase volume coming from the speaker.

Device Will Not Pair Via Bluetooth

Go to settings on your device and navigate to "Bluetooth" section. Make sure that bluetooth is turned on and searching is also turned on. Make sure that you have connected to speaker. If not, turn Bluetooth pairing on from the speaker and connect to speaker. If having trouble connecting to bluetooth, see following section.

Loose Cable Connection

Check to make sure you are using the correct cable to connect the speaker to your device. The correct cable should be a 3-pole auxiliary connecter. Insert the cable into the speaker and ensure that the cable is properly connected. Follow previous steps to ensure volume output.

Device Has Bluetooth Setting Turned Off

Open the your device's settings and search for "Bluetooth." If a Bluetooth option appears then your device is Bluetooth compatible.

Speaker Has Bluetooth Setting Turned Off

Press and hold the Bluetooth pairing button on your speaker for about three seconds until you hear a sound. A light should now be blinking indicating that Bluetooth is now available.

Too Far Away From Speaker

The devices may be too far away to secure a Bluetooth connection. Bring them closer together so the speaker can better detect your device. The UE BOOM's Bluetooth range is around 50 feet.

Speaker Is Connected To Different Device

Navigate to your Bluetooth settings on a previously connected device. Turn off the device's Bluetooth to stop them from interfering with your connection.

Reset Speaker

Press and hold the Power and Volume "-" buttons for ten to fifteen seconds. A noise will sound to let you know the reset is finished. It will be ready for pairing when you turn it on again.

Cannot Play Sound From Two Speakers At The Same Time

I have multiple speakers and they should be playing the same sound at the same time, however it is only coming out of one/neither.

Speakers Are Not In Range

Assure both the speakers are within 150 feet of the device that is playing music.

One or Both Speakers Are Not Be Up To Date

Check to see that both speakers are updated to the latest version of firmware. To do this, connect your speaker to your smart device, open UE Boom app and tap "More" to see the available updates.

Speakers Have Bluetooth Turned Off

Turn on Bluetooth for all speakers you are pairing together. To do this, press the Bluetooth button on the top of the speaker.

Typical Bluetooth Methods Are Not Working

It is possible to connect all speakers by simultaneously pressing the Bluetooth and + buttons on the speaker that is playing music. Then press the Bluetooth button twice on the speaker that you want to add.

UE Boom App Is Not Working With Phone

I have downloaded the UE Boom App for companionship with the speaker and it is not working with the speaker.

Device is Not Up To Date

Assure not only UE Boom is updated, yet the app is the updated to the latest possible version as well.

App is Not Working For Users Using Android Devices

If you've paired two devices with the speaker and try to open the application on your Android phone, it might crash. To resolve this issue, disconnect both devices from the speaker and reconnect only the one you want to use for playing music.
