WEN Tool will not turn on

No matter what you do, you can't get your WEN Rotary to turn on.

Not Connected

Before you try anything else make sure that the device is properly plugged into a working electrical socket.

Broken power switch

See guide for replacement.

Stator wiring might not make contact with the connector

This is the last resource, this happens when the stater wires are not making contact with its connector, to fix this issue a dis-assembly will be required in order to make the connections work.

Faulty power cable

See guide for replacement.

Speed adjuster does not change speed

While trying to move the speed adjuster the speed of the rotary tool doesn’t seem to change.

Maybe nothing is wrong!

Maybe the change in speed of rotation is not being perceived by you but it is working properly!

Speed adjuster is loose

This might mean the dial is not well adjusted. See guide.

Bits/ends no longer screw on

Doesn’t matter how tight you try to put the bits/ends they fall off

Rotary tool end broken

The end connector piece, the collet nut, may wear out and no longer hold in bits. See guide for replacement.

Maybe the bit you’re trying to use is worn out or it’s too small for this Rotary Tool, be sure it is tighten well.

It is rotating too slowly

The bit is rotating too slowly, its not supposed to work that way!

Low power is being driven to the motor

This might mean that something is limiting the power to the motor. You may need to disassemble the device in order to see if everything is correctly assembled. See guide for replacement.

Wrong speed setting

Make sure that the speed setup is in a higher setting if the tool is not rotating fast enough.

Device is overheating

After using the device it is way too hot!

Over Use

This device is not meant to be used for extended periods of time. Make sure to occasionally pause during use in order to reduce temperature.

Too much power is being drawn to the motor

This might mean something is drawing too much power inside the tool, like a short circuit or something similar. Try a different outlet.

The fan is broken

The fan may not be functioning properly making your device over heat. See guide for replacement.

I was in mid use off my rotary tool(Wen brand) and it quit working. I unplugged it to let it take a break ( I was already giving it a break like every 10-15 mins in between uses) an it still won't power back on. What should I do? I’ve only had it for 3-4 wks . Do I need to return it?

My rotary tool is getting really hot pretty quickly after about 3 minutes of use. Is this normal?
