Roomba Not Charging
Roomba either does not charge or has extremely short battery life
Faulty Contacts
Check the charging base and Roomba’s contacts for debris that could be stopping the contacts from touching. If the contacts are cleaned off and the Roomba is still not charging, the contacts may be faulty and will need to be replaced.
Faulty Battery
If there is no issue with the contacts and replacement didn’t fix the issue, the battery may simply be faulty and unable to recharge. Replace the battery according to this guide.
Roomba Not Cleaning
Roomba does not leave surfaces clean after moving over them
Clogged Filter (Roomba)
Ensure the Roomba filter is clean. If it is dirty, replace it using this guide.
Faulty Side Brushes
Make sure side brushes are not damaged before checking if the battery is dying on the Roomba. If side brushes are damaged, replace side brushes then test if it works after replacing. If it still won’t spin around check for a faulty battery, replace battery using this guide and turn Roomba back on.
Faulty Brushes
Verify the brushes are correctly locked into position and oriented as instructed by the guide on the Roomba itself. If they are correctly locked in and still won’t spin, check to see if they are tangled up with hairs or other obstructions. If so, clean them. If they still do not spin, replace the part using this guide.
Faulty Vacuum
If the vacuum won’t suck up objects there is something wrong with either the filters, brushes, battery within the Roomba, or the charging station. If it is brushes replace brushes that are supposed to suck up objects and collect them. If it is the battery, replace the battery with a new one using this guide. If it's a charging station, check your wires within the charging station and make sure electrical output is going through the charging station to port charging for the Roomba.
Full Trash Bin
Remove the trash bin from the rear of the Roomba and check to see if it is full of dust and debris. If it is, open it up and empty it into a trash can before replacing it.
Roomba Not Turning On
Roomba is not powering on after pressing power button
Dead or Faulty Battery
Verify that the battery is charged, if so and still not powering on, ensure that the battery is making contact on both ends and providing power to the device. If the device is still not powering on, consider replacing the battery using this guide.
Faulty Base Station Charging
Verify that the Roomba is charging when placed in the base station. If not, then the base station may need to be replaced. Refer to Roomba Not Charging for further steps on diagnosing problems with the base station.
Roomba Not Maneuvering Properly
Roomba is experiencing limited movement or no movement at all
Faulty or Obstructed Sensor
Check for debris covering the sensor and clean it off. If this does not fix the issue, the navigation sensor may be faulty.
Stuck or Broken Caster Wheel
Check the caster wheel for obstructions. If nothing can be seen the caster wheel may be broken and needs to be replaced. Replace the wheel using this guide.
Faulty or Obstructed Ground Sensor
Check for debris covering the sensor and clean it off. If this does not fix the issue, the navigation sensor may be faulty.
Base Station Not Emptying Roomba

Station Port Malfunctioning
Check the base station to identify anything blocking the port and preventing it from properly opening. If there is something obstructing the port from opening, remove the obstruction and test again.
