Background
Released in June of 2015, the Hero+ LCD edition comes with new features to the GoPro line, such as built-in Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, LCD display, and a touchscreen. Bluetooth allows you to use your phone or tablet as a remote for full control over the camera's functions. After capturing the video or photo, you can upload your work or art to social media. These features will work only if the GoPro App is downloaded onto a smartphone or tablet.
This model is mostly used for "rugged" shoots. This means that the device can handle anything from being dropped on rocks to being submerged 40 meters in water. It also has a wide-angle lens with auto low-light settings to capture images with video quality at 1080p60 and 720p60. The GoPro Hero+ can also capture 8MP photos in capture times ranging from 0.5 to 60 seconds.
All of the following information was obtained from the official GoPro website, which can be found here.
Identification
The GoPro Hero+ LCD camera has a grey waterproof casing with the logo Hero+ under the lens. The GoPro logo is printed on the tripod mount. The brand logo is also printed on the top of the camera. You can identify your device by the serial number embossed on the bottom of the camera.
It has a latch on top of the device that allows you to remove the casing, and access to the touchscreen. This camera also has a built-in mount and three buttons so the user can control the camera without opening the casing.
