While disassebling my laptop, i did not know that there was a difference between the cables and the cable sockets, so while disconnecting everything i disconnected the sockets from the laptop. is there a way to reconnect those sockets back to the laptop?

Possibly - Soldering computer logic boards is not for amateurs. It requires special tools, solder and lots and lots of practice so as not to damage the MLB with too much heat.
Depending on the damage done to the connectors (aka sockets) they might be able to simply be re-soldered to the board, or, they may need complete replacement.
A computer or small electronics repair shop may be able to do this and provide an estimate of cost... compare that to a DIY replace (swap) of the logic board. Now you know you need to study (not just look at) the Guide and notes for DIY repairs.

Are you saying you disconnected the cable connectors from the logic board? Post images with your question so we can see what you see.

Can you post a good picture of both the part that needed to stay on the logic board and the location of the connector on the logic board as well as a zoomed in picture of the area so we can see whats left. The higher res the the more focused (not blurry) the better.

if you're talking of the speakers, fan, backlight keyboard sockets it can be soldered back to the board but LVDS, keyboard and other big sockets you'll need a professional help.

Yes I disconnected the cable connectors from the logic board. I just posted pictures. Does anyone know about how much it would cost to get it fixed?
