Is it possible to take a memory chip out of an iPhone?

I have an iPhone 4, the screen is totally busted and the phone will not power on. I am trying to retrieve my vaccination photos from the phone and Verizon and Apple say the pictures are gone. I am wanting to find the memory chip, that holds all of the phones data, and place it into another iPhone just to retrieve my pictures. What does the memory chip its self look like and where is it located? I know this is a long shot but I am willing to take a risk.

Sadly, getting the chip out won't help you as you have no means to retrieve what's on it.

Some how you need to get what you have working long enough to pull the images off. This will require finding someone with the needed tools to fix your phone without replacing the logic board.

In the future you may want to setup iCloud so your pictures are copied onto a server as you take them. Then you can access them via your computer at home.
