So recently I got this warning sing on my battery icon, and now seems like my macbook air mid 2012 starts to slow down, so I found out that sometimes performance depends on battery.(btw is it true?) Anyway I decided to change a battery and looks like 2013 models has a slightly but still bigger battery, can I install it to my 2012 Macbook air?

No. The 2013 battery will not work in your machine. Get:
