Are the cable connections and fittings of the Display assembly and the keyboard / trackpad upper case the same in the different Macbook Air Models?

Can I exchange a defect part of a 1.86 GHz machine by one of a 1.6 GHz one?

The display assemblies should be the same:

The upper case is compatible between some 1.6 and 1.86 models:

Apple part# 661-5072

But I don't think that part# 922-8315 for the earlier 1.6/1.8 is compatible with the 1.86

Eric's right! The display is compatible, but the upper case is incompatible due to some connector relocation.
