PS4 ADP-200ER AA Power Supply Capacitor Blown

I opened my PS4 power supply and I saw the green capacitor was blown. Only part was there.

Do you know the replacement part for this? I googled but could not find it.

The part number says “SCK 036 522 “

Hi,

The part is a NTC (negative temperature coefficient) Thermistor not a capacitor.

Searching online I have found that the code SCK is used by Thinking Electronics company for their NTC thermistors.

Here's a link to the data sheet for the SCK series NTC thermistors.

Unfortunately your part number is not listed.

Could you verify that that is all that is written on the part itself.

If there is no other information then perhaps you could contact the manufacturer and ask what the code means or if there is an equivalent replacement.

Hopefully this is of some help.

Thanks. Yes, that is all written. I wish I could take a picture. But the letters are faded and barely readable.

I really thought it is a capacitor.

Hi,

Yes a picture may help as you could enlarge it to maybe discern what is written on it more easily.

Whatever you do, do not touch it with your fingers etc, as the information may wipe off as usually it is only stamped on.

Easy mistake to make regarding what type of component it is. It could also just as easily be a polymer resettable fuse or a MOV (metal oxide varister) as the packaging looks the same. You can only go on the information stamped on the component or in a parts list for the device to be really sure.

Just to point out that it does say NTC-1 on the board next to the component ;-)

Good luck.
