How do I boot from USB drive?

I have created a bootable USB image for Windows 10 because my tablet fails to boot normally. I can’t seem to get it to attempt to boot from USB. Any suggestions?

Hi @dictaearl ,

Not sure if the following is applicable to your model, but this is how it works on some other Win tablets, so you can only try.

Try connecting a keyboard and the USB stick via a USB hub which has a micro USB connector to the tablet. (Looking at the user manual it says that the tablet has a micro USB port)

Start the tablet and press the Win + Alt key to get into BIOS.

If you do get into BIOS there may be a setting for Start Windows USB or similar. If there is then select that, then select Restart and hopefully it will boot from the USB stick.

The trick with this tablet is that it has a 32 bit bootloader even thou it can run 64 bit OS because it has a 64 bit intel atom processor. You need to create a special 32 boot to place on the booting sequence of the x64 OS. Also this tablet has secure boot. you need to disable it(Can be done in bootloader). If you get into EFI Shell (White and Yellow Lettering stating USB devices) simply write “exit” and hit enter on your keyboard. This should boot you to the bootloader screen. From there as mention go into secure boot to disable it, Install any OS.

Also the drivers and components for this tablet are on this website:

I am not affiliated in any way to this website but is the only place I was able to find information on the tablet.

Connect the '''USB flash drive''' to a new PC. Turn on the PC and press the key that opens the boot-device selection menu for the computer, such as the Esc/F10/F12 keys. Select the option that boots the PC from the USB flash driveWindows Setup starts.

You may also try change the Boot Mode to "CSM" or "Legacy".

I have a Digiland DL808W, the same thing happened to me, the system had faults, so I decided to format it, to the charging port I connected an OTG cable with USB output and to this I connected a "USB HUB" and thus connected the memory with the OS, keyboard, and mouse. I managed to format the problem was when I started the touch did not work, I looked for the driver I never found it so the touch screen in the sun today did not work again. I recommend that you better not format it. Unless you get the driver for the touch screen.

I never found it .
