Screen Shattered, Blue Light stays on

Out of anger (oops) I threw and shattered my phone, It's even bent a little in the middle. Now the blue light is on, like its trying to turn on and won't turn off. Pressing the power button doesn't work. Trying to reboot it doesn't work. It isn't responding to anything. What do I do to get it to just turn off?

Hi @nikkyehoffman

Two options:

  • Open the phone and disconnect the battery - here's the ifixit Remplacement de la batterie du Samsung Galaxy S6 guide that will help.
  • Leave the phone alone and let the battery drain of its own accord and the phone will turn off. This may take a while though.

In any event the phone will have to be opened, inspected and tested to find out what kind of damage, physical and electrical has occurred

@nikkyehoffman

If it feels warm/hot then you may have to open it just to prevent more damage from occurring.

The screen will have to be replaced anyway so opening it up may be the best option
