Hello, I received my MacBook Air M2 from the Apple Store’s website 20 days ago and I noticed a problem with it. When I open the MacBook screen in a fixed place, it doesn’t make any noise and works very well. However, when I open the MacBook in my hand, it makes a crackling sound. I don’t understand this and the crackling sound occurs once or twice after opening the screen, then it doesn’t happen again until I close and reopen the screen. Also, when I open the screen quickly to the maximum level, the crackling sound comes again. When I asked this on the internet, I heard that the MacBook hinge will settle in place over time, but I want more detailed information about this problem. English: What happens when you press in the middle of the bottom, then the bottom of the lids edge (you’ll need a friend to help you here).

I’m thinking the middle part of the lid is catching on the case bottom. This is such a sharp click it’s like how a jar lid pops as you slid your finger across a bare lid. Just at a much lower tone.

If that helps or you feel the click I think that proves the issue. Now knowing what it is then gets into how to fix! As this is a new system you’ll need to visit an Apple Store or authorized reseller who has a repair tech. Or, send it back for a replacement.
