Replaced battery but get “Battery is not charging” when plugged in

Hi there,

My inel MacBook Air was not powering on, so I just finished replacing the battery. It now power is on, but when plugged in is not charging.

If I click on the battery at the top, I can see a message “battery is not charging” even though it is plugged into power. Luckily, I have several MacBooks in the house, so I know the power supply and cables that I am using are not the problem.

I have tried to reset the SMC, but this does not seem to have fixed it. Is there anything else that must be done when replacing the battery? The only other thing I have read that may be the issue is the power board, which will be my next step.
